PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING THE PAPERS FOR THE PROCEEDINGS IS POSTPONED UNTIL MAY 1ST, 2011. A 4 PAGE PAPER MAY BE SUBMITTED BOTH BY AUTHORS OF POSTERS AND OF ORALS.
The deadline for paper manuscripts (maximum 4 pages, including tables, figures and references) for accepted abstracts (for orals and posters both) is 1 May 2011. The final copy must be in Microsoft Office Word format and emailed to paper@safepork.org.
Publication of short papers in the conference proceedings should not preclude publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Poster and oral sessions will be organized and all accepted presentations (oral and poster) will be included in the proceedings (USB datastick). Communications will not be published in the conference proceedings unless the registration for and payment by at least one of the authors has been received before 15 April 2011.
The official language of the conference is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
The time allotted for presentations is 12 minutes and 3 minutes for questions, except in the case of lead presentations (one per session), selected by the Scientific Committee, which are allotted 17 minutes and 3 minutes for questions.
E-slide projection (Microsoft Office – Power Point) will be available on site. Software must be compatible with a Windows Operating System. The use of private PCs is prohibited.
A CD or USB data stick of your Power Point presentation must be delivered to the conference room at least two hours before the scientific session concerned, or, ideally, the day before the presentation. Specialized technicians will be at your disposal to help you with a run-through.
The time and date of your presentation will be posted on the updated web page of the final program.
Posters must be in English.
The title and authors must appear at the top of the poster. We recommend the use of a font size legible from a distance of 2 meters.
Poster will be displayed from Sunday 19 June 2011 to Wednesday 22 June 2011. Posters must be removed before 6:00 pm the last day on the conference.
There will be poster sessions every conference day during lunch and during all (coffee) breaks.
The issuance of awards for best student oral and poster presentations is scheduled for Wednesday 22 June 2011.
Maximum size of a poster: 118,5 x 146 cm.
